Humans working together to rescue a baby elephant in Amboseli National Park, Kenya. This is what I like to see: a positive interaction instead of the ghastly poaching statistics coming out of Africa in recent years.
That's why the people in this video – members of the Kenya Wildlife Service and the Amboseli Elephant Trust – are my heroes. They rescued the five-day-old elephant calf from a muddy pond in Kenya's Amboseli National Park.
Note how Mother Elephant hovers anxiously during the rescue attempt, and how trusting the little calf appears to be.
If the reunion between mother and calf after the rescue doesn't melt your heart, I suggest you check with a cardiovascular surgeon because your heart just isn't functioning properly!
